Let’s celebrate the talent of our Scottish lads and lassies with a huge list of the Best Scottish Travel Content Creators! We Scots are blessed with notoriously magnificent landscapes which have inspired many content creators across the country. This list may not be one with creators that have the largest following or the best skills, but more of a catalogue to those dark horses and well-known magicians within the industry.

Within this list, you will find photographers, bloggers and content creators. Similarly, there are some who have chosen to stay within Scotland and then those who have travelled further afield to spread their Scottish banter around the world.

Scottish Photographers on Instagram

First off, we have our photography enthusiasts. These creators have mastered their art, and share the results for us all to enjoy on Instagram. So, without further ado and in no particular order…

Edward Fitzpatrick

At the time of writing this, Eddie had just completed one of the most challenging long-distance walks in the UK – The Cape Wrath Trail. I’m still trying to figure out his secret of putting up with the biggest clouds of midges I have ever seen!

Sarah Afiqah Rodgers

The #tinysarah of Instagram… Sarah has probably already appeared on your newsfeed through the many feature pages that rightfully showcase her portfolio of shots. Her dreamy, minimalistic grid is a credit to Scotland’s beauty!

Johnny Stills

Johnny Stills has the very essence of a strong Scottish grid on Instagram. From the capital city through the Highlands to the many coastlines, Johnny’s portfolio of content features many different corners of our bonnie Scotland.

Dan Munro

As a young photographer and one of our Scottish travel content creators, Dan Munro has managed to capture many magical moments across Scotland. Just check out his feed… Every photo makes Scotland look like a fairytale!

Connor Mollison

With over 21K followers… I’m surprised I’d never come across Connor’s work before now. Whilst he may be based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, he’s managed to explore and promote the beauty of many faraway corners in Scotland.

Ian Black

There wouldn’t be a list of Scottish creators without Ian G. Black – the king of Edinburgh content on Instagram. Ian’s built a huge name for himself as a Scottish photographer, influencer and photo tour guide for the prestigious 5-star Balmoral Hotel. He prides himself on having worked with the likes of Glenmorangie, SonyXperia, Glen Moray and Walker Slater.

Eilidh Cameron

Eilidh Cameron is a 20-something-year-old photographer. As a native of our beloved west coast, she has an abundance of beautiful bangers within her portfolio. It wouldn’t be surprising if Visit Scotland have her on speed dial too!

Scottish Travel Bloggers

Highlands2Hammocks

The lovely Gemma and Campbell are two Scottish creators who have created a travel blog, and a YouTube channel. From a working holiday visa in Australia to cycling the east coast of Italy, wild camping along the NC500 and more recently, driving their motorhome across Scotland… Highland2Hammocks have many adventures to share!

The Chaotic Scot

The ‘Scottish Travel Blog Packed with Fun, Food & Inspiration‘. Kay Gillespie’s passion to promote Scotland is infectious. Her blog includes countless itineraries, tips and ‘things to do’ blogs about both the mainland and the Scottish islands.

Adventures Around Scotland

Created in 2014, Susanne’s aim with ‘Adventures Around Scotland’ isn’t just to encourage foreigners to visit Scotland, but to inspire the locals to explore more of their home nation too. This blog is filled to the brim with recommendations, reviews, city guides, camping tips and suggested walks. There is no way you’ll leave her page still wondering what to do!

Stories My Suitcase Could Tell

I, personally, have found Katie to be very influential in my journey to becoming a Scottish travel blogger. Not only does she have the exact same name, but she also shares a similar connection to the Scottish Islands.

The Scottish Highland & Islands can tend to feel like a tiny corner of the world. However, once I had followed the journey of a fellow Katie moving from the Outer Hebrides to New York City and making a life for herself as an award-winning travel blogger, I’d felt more inspired than ever. Having been published and featured in, for example, Buzzfeed, BBC.com, Cosmopolitan and National Geographic Traveller, I am proud to say that she is an asset to the Macleod Clan!

My Veggie Travels

Sarah’s travel blog, My Veggie Travels, has popped up within many of my Google searches! So, it’s no wonder that she’s worked alongside many of Scotland’s tourism brands such as Visit Scotland. Also, any vegetarians out there? This blog will be of particular use to you.

The Scots Who’ve Gone Abroad

Ross Jennings

As someone on a mission to visit as many countries as possible too when I heard about Ross Jenning’s ambitious travel mission he had me instantly hooked. There’s no way I could continue scrolling without hitting the follow button to see how this would plan out. Can you believe that he is aiming to be the first Scot to play his bagpipes in every country of the world?!

Katie Goes

Yes, that’s me! If there’s going to be a giant list of Scottish folk then there is no way I could exclude myself. I’m simply far too patriotic!

Having said that, I was obviously not 100% settled within my own country as I have spent the last 8 years travelling the world as much as possible. At first, I started blogging my backpacking adventures alongside my university studies. Once I graduated, I moved to London where I crafted my design career within a 9-5 job in advertising. I lasted two years in the big city before quitting my job and becoming a digital nomad. You can read more about my route to a lifestyle of full-time travel here.

Two Scots Abroad

If one Scot is not enough… Then have two! This pairing is well worth hitting the follow button as they share their adventures and more recently, their journey of being full-time travel bloggers. Gemma and Craig have documented adventures such as eloping in Austin, walking the West Highland Way and backpacking Asia.

Are you now as inspired as I am to swing that backpack around your shoulders, unfold that drone, unclip the lens cap and start collecting bangers? These content creators certainly contribute to my personal daily inspiration, but which Scottish bloggers and photographers influence you? Let me know in the comments!

Let’s go!
